Information about Volunteering for Verizon Wireless Amphitheater

Any Roswell High School Band member or family member or friend of a band member can help raise money for the RHS band program by volunteering at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. There are two basic roles for volunteers:

1.Volunteer Check In/Out. Students (with parent/adult working the concert) or adults check in and out all other Verizon volunteers and distribute/collect uniform shirts. Two such volunteers are needed at each concert.

2. Beer & Wine Sales. Adults (21 or over) manage and work at one of two beer and wine stands. Up to 12 such volunteers are needed at each concert (depending on ticket sales).

This is a fun way to raise money for the RHS Band Program! And you get to see some great shows!

What To Do:

1. Register! Fill out and submit the on-line Registration Form. All volunteers must register and fill out ALL the information required!  The Alpharetta Police Department require address and birthdate of all volunteers working at Verizon.  We have to provide a print-out of the volunteers for each concert.

2. Sign up! Enter your name in the table for each concert you would like to work. If you want to work with your spouse/significant other/friend, indicate this in the table.

3. Get notified! Once the needs for a particular concert are known, the volunteers to staff the concert will be determined and notified via e-mail (3-5 days before the show). All efforts will be made to provide everyone who signs up opportunities to support the band.

4. Show up! Your notification will tell you when you need to arrive and how long you will need to stay. Generally, hours are 4:00 – 11:00. Cash managers, inventory managers, and Shirt Check-out volunteers are required to stay later. Students can check-in ONLY if a parent/guardian is with them at that concert.  You may not leave your child to work a concert alone! Arriving last minute and/or leaving early is not acceptable. If you need to cancel, call Dawn O'Shea at 678-923-9387. Please provide as much notice as possible!

5. Follow the dress code! Required attire: Black pants or shorts (NO khakis or blue jeans); Closed toed shoes or sneakers (No sandals). You will be issued a shirt to wear during the concert.

6. All funds earned will go to directly to the RHS Band program.

If you need to cancel for a concert...

Go to the concert sign-up and select cancel next to your name. Please follow up, via email to Dawn O'Shea  (dwalshatl@yahoo.com), of your cancellation. Please try to cancel more than 48 hours before the concert so we can find a replacement for you.

If it is a last minute cancellation (the day of the concert), please call
